About us

Red Nose Goes Green

Who are we:

Green Nose is part of SIDS and Kids Victoria which has been providing bereavement support and community education since 1977 when the founder Kaarene Fitzgerald's son, Glenn, died of SIDS. We now provide a much wider range of services to support any family (or anyone in the community) who has been imacted by the sudden and unexpected death of a child. This may be from an accident (fire, drowing, motor vehicle), SIDS, Stillbirth or sudden onset illness.

Why Green Nose:

SIDS and Kids Victoria receives less than 1% funds from Government to provide the many services it does for families, the community, schools, maternal and child health, hospitals and emergency workers. We need to look outside traditional methods of fundraising to ensure that we generate enough income to survive in this challenging economic climate.

We also want to support the environment by reducing land fill - by recycling and donating to SIDS and Kids Victoria we are all helping our environment and at the same time supporting a much loved charity continue its work.

We Need Your Support:

Taking the opportunity to clear out your wardrobe, tidy up the junk room or find some space in your kitchen can easily help provide us with the much needed funds to deliver our services and continue our valuable work in Victoria. All we ask is for your time - we will turn your gift into money to help support our work. If however you would like to support SIDS and Kids Victoria's work with a financial gift please click here.

Thank you
